Doctor-placed thread lift for facial lifting
Thread Lift

Face Lifting

A lift today, firmer skin over the months ahead.

What is Face Lifting?

Lift now, firm gradually.

Face Lifting with dissolvable threads involves threads inserted beneath the skin to mechanically lift sagging tissue in the cheeks and jawline. As the threads gradually dissolve over the following months, they are also designed to stimulate the body's own collagen production, supporting a longer-term firming effect alongside the initial lift.

At FMAC, thread lift procedures are performed under local anaesthesia and assessed and delivered by Dr Gerald Tan, who will discuss thread placement and expected outcomes at consultation.

How it works

Mechanical lift, meets natural collagen.

Fine dissolvable threads are inserted beneath the skin along carefully planned vectors, mechanically repositioning sagging tissue in the cheeks and jawline for an immediate lift. As the threads gradually dissolve over the following months, they stimulate the skin's own collagen production, supporting continued firmness as the initial lift settles.

Good to know

Frequently asked questions.

Is a thread lift safe?
It is a doctor-performed procedure carried out under local anaesthesia. Dr Gerald Tan assesses your facial structure and suitability individually before every treatment, and will discuss any risks specific to your case.
Does it hurt?
Local anaesthesia is used throughout the procedure. Most patients feel some pressure or a pulling sensation as threads are placed, rather than sharp pain.
What is the downtime?
Mild swelling or bruising along thread paths is common and typically settles within about a week. Dr Tan will advise on facial movements and activities to avoid during this period.
When will I see results?
The mechanical lift is generally visible once initial swelling settles, with continued firming developing gradually over the following months as collagen builds. Results vary between individuals.
How many sessions will I need?
Face Lifting is typically delivered as a single session. Dr Tan will advise on timing for any future sessions based on how your results settle.
